The South China Morning Post cited this information in a report last Sunday (March 22). The paper states that Zhang is the head of China's Covid-19 clinical expert team. He was speaking at a video conference organized by the Chinese consulate in Germany.
He says “It would be perfectly normal if the virus comes and goes, and lasts for one or two years,”
He also said “But I cannot imagine a total global suspension ever possibly happening. Not even in Germany or Europe.If only the whole world could stop moving for four weeks, the pandemic could be stopped.”
“As long as the strategies of all countries become increasingly vigorous, effective control of the pandemic is just a matter of time.”
