Tamim is more successful than Kohli!

Decision Review System or DRS for short. 

According to Decision Review System method of cricket, a batsman or a bowler can challenge the umpire's decision. If the umpire decides not to accept , a batsman or a bowler becomes the refuge to DRS. A recently released statistic shows that Tamim Iqbal of Bangladesh is more successful than Indian captain Virat Kohli in DRS.


This review has been taken by cricketers 3300 times in international cricket matches in the last 5 years. Most of the batsmen, or bowlers, have surrendered to this approach in LBW. Australia's Nathan Lyon has failed most often to get reviews for being of LBW. His success rate is absolutely zero. The Aussie spinner failed to win zero of the 10 reviews.

Lyon's teammate Steven Smith is second. This Ozzie batsman has taken reviews on LBW a total of 20 times in the last 5 years. He failed 14 times out of 20 times. 3 times seen face of success.

After Smith, Sri Lanka batsman Dimuth Karunaratne is in  position.He had to fail 10 times in reviews taken 16 times. English batsman Jonny Bairstow holds the fourth position. This English cricketer has been reviewed 15 times in 5 years at LBW. He had to fail 9 times inside. Bairstow has been successful 6 times  with the umpires call.


Faf du Plessis is in fifth position. Has seen the face of success 3 times against 13 reviews. Having failed 8 times, the Proteas have to return home. Next on the list is Virat Kohli. Kohli has taken reviews 17 times in the last 5 years. The batsman failed to succeed in 8 of his innings. This Indian batsman's success rate of 23.53.

Bangladeshi Opener Tamim Iqbal is the latest in the list. Tamim's success rate is 25 percent.He had to fail 7 times of the DRS 12 times. He has been successful 3 times in addition to 2 times umpires' calls. That means, Tamim is more  successful  than Kohli to DRS.
