World is in condom crisis!


The Coronavirus has now lockdown countless countries across the continent. More than 300 million people are in home quarantine . More then 25 Thousands people died .Meanwhile, The world's largest condom-producing company has been forced to close its factory due to lockdowns across the country. So the world is now in condom crisis, reported by news agency Reuters.

World largest condoms company has  closed.

Malaysian company karex produces one of the five condoms in the world. Production has been stopped  of their three factories in Malaysia for the last 10 days; Because the Malaysian government has locked down the country until April 14 to fight the coronavirus. Almost everything is closed in the country.

World facing condoms shortage.

The news agency Reuters reported Friday that the entire world is already facing a shortage of 100 million condoms. Durex markets the condoms produced by karex internationally. This company provides condoms to many others, including the UK's National Health Service (NHS) and the United Nations Population Fund.

Karex chief executive officer (CEO) Goh Mia Kiat told Reuters last week that they were seeing condom shortages all over the world, which is alarming. His concerns would endanger Africa's numerous humanitarian projects. He also said that The crisis will last not just a week or a month.


China is the largest condom producing country in the world.

 But from there, many factories have closed as coronavirus outbreaks begin . Apart from China and Malaysia, India and Thailand are the top condom-producing countries in the world. But in India, the lockdown is now underway. In Thailand, the number of corona infections is increasing day by day.

The CEO of karex said that they were trying to appeal to the government to continue production of their company and open their factory.

 Relatively, the Malaysian government has allowed the other manufacturing company to start  with half the manpower required.
