Messi could not break Pele's record because of the Coronavirus

European football leagues have been suspended indefinitely due to pandemic coronavirus, are Now on the way to cancel.


This can frustrate football fans. However, Barcelona captain Lionel Messi and his fans can sink a little more frustration.

This is because Messi will miss the chance to touch on a unique record of Brazilian living legend Pele if the 2019-2020 league is canceled.

Black daimond Pele had a record - scoring a maximum of 643 goals for a certain club. Messi was going to touch that  record in this season.

Messi added 24 goals this season, scoring 603 goals in the previous season. He only needed 17 goals to reach Pelé's record. And at that time the league was suspended because of Coronavirus.

Goal.com reporTed that Messi's 24 goals in this season will no longer be on the record page if the league is canceled. Not a 627, but he'll have to start anew with 603 goals next season.

Although many say, this season was a great opportunity for Messi to touch Pele's record.  Messi will celebrate his 33th birthday next June. Then it is a matter of seeing how much his form is.
